Starving! One Way To Improve Multiple Sclerosis!

© By Lena Sanchez

Maybe Yes! and Maybe No!

The theory that diet may play a role in multiple sclerosis (MS),
in rats, was confirmed by a study indicating that starvation
may impact the progression of MS.

In the study, starving mice with a similar condition for 48
hours resulted in fewer symptoms and fewer signs of
advancement of the illness in the brain. Although they still
developed the disease, their physical symptoms were less
severe.

Typically, a healthy, balanced diet is recommended for those
suffering from MS, a neurological condition in which the immune
system attacks the coating of nerve fibers in the brain.
Researchers say that a nutritional approach combined with
drugs may offset the progression of the disease.

Although it is uncertain why starvation may be beneficial to MS,
researchers mention that the effect could be due to the removal
of any one ingredient from the diet--though they are not sure
which one. Leptin, a chemical released by the body that reduces
appetite after eating, may also be involved.

Researchers also mentioned that the positive effects seen on the
animal model of MS used in the study might not necessarily
extend to humans.

http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/entrez/query.fcgi?cmd=Retrieve&db=PubMed&list_uids=12531880&dopt=Abstract LEN NOTE: The leptin theory is missing the point. MS is
looking very much like a lack of sufficient mineral content that's
throwing the body off, but that is not being looked at. Yes, diet is
very important! MS, Lupus and other autoimmune diseased
patients are getting remarkable results by simply adding minerals,
mega vitamins and antioxidants to their daily regimen. Some
have simply added gross amounts of green and yellow vegetables
and eliminated dairy products. I don't know anyone who can
concentrate on spending most of the day eating fruits and veggies.

Some things known for sure are:

Eliminating pasteurized milk and dairy is of utmost importance.
Studies have shown that cow's milk consumption is correlated
with MS prevalence. Many people will tolerate non-pasteurized
RAW dairy, however.

Mineral imbalance throws the body into total disarray and results
in MS and other autoimmune diseases. When you add the
consumption of Aspartame and chemical sugar substitutes you're
looking for big problems. Calcium IV treatments are being used
in the treatment of MS with a modicum of success but one
mineral alone will not do the whole trick!

Antioxidants are also proving to be a great treatment for MS. A
study from the Netherlands showed that Lipoic acid is a
non-specific scavenger of Reactive Oxygen Species and has
decreased the phagocytosis of myelin by macrophages
(free-radicals). Free radicals appear to play a regulatory role
in the destruction of myelin (Journal of Neuroimmunology
1998 Dec 1;92:67-75).

Soy products are proving to be a great help in MS as well.
Could it be because Progesterone has been shown in animal
studies to promote the formation of new myelin sheaths
(Human Reproduction 2000 Jun;15 Suppl 1:1-13, J
Steroid Biochem Mol Biol 1999 Apr-Jun;69:97-107, Mult
Scler 1997 Apr;3:105-12).
A byproduct of soy consumption is hormonal/progesterone shifts.

Stress appears to aggravate multiple sclerosis (MS) in patients.
According to a study, patients with MS who experienced at least
one stressful event over a one-month period had double the risk
of an exacerbation within the next week. Researchers suggest
that stress, which can suppress the immune system, may put
patients at an increased risk of infection and therefore may cause
more flare ups of the disease.

http://bmj.bmjjournals.com/cgi/content/full/327/7416/646 MS is a very mystifying disease to the traditional medical community but the alternative community is having great results
to the point of reversal!

Prevention is the key here. If you don't have it don't risk
getting it!
If you use Sugar substitutes STOP NOW!
If you consume pasteurized dairy STOP IT NOW!
If you are NOT consuming large amounts of vegetables and
fruits you are at a great risk for developing MS or other
autoimmune disease. Start supplementing with meganutrient
vitamins, minerals and Antioxidants NOW!

I recommend you start with things that not only help MS and
other autoimmune diseases but also puts your body's immune
system in a full working mode for viral prevention as well.
They are; Life Transfusion Ionic Liquid Minerals containing 84
minerals and trace minerals with absolutely 100% absorption
rate. And a top of the line Antioxidant Free-radical pacman
herbal formula. If you stress out easily then de stress naturally
with a natural side effect free formula called Tolerance Stress
Formula 1 capsule three times a day works wonders to control
the damage from stress.
